ABOUT CREATING FAMILIES RADIO
Creating Families Radio is about expanding how we see families by talking about the things that being a family includes - from thinking about bringing a new life into your fold and how to do that, to how we structure our families, what makes them work, the challenges we have, and the diversity that is part of being a family.
Creating Families Radio is about inclusion - creating spaces to see how very diverse and wonderful families are, and what it means to embrace that diversity in ways that help families (and the people in them) feel seen, valued, loved and included in communities, schools, child care, at work, etc.

Having a radio show has been my dream for years!
When I was pregnant, I hosted a monthly Blogtalk radio show called LGBT Fertility Journeys, and loved interviewing people about their personal stories, as well as providing resources for others, like me, who were feeling overwhelmed by the daunting task of getting pregnant.
Once my child was born I did a couple more shows, but was busy!!
Now she is three and I feel I can devote more time to being out there in the world - and I'm thankful for the opportunity to reach more people and share more stories and resources to help expand our awareness and consciousness about the diversity of families in our world, and how to create spaces that value that diversity.
I'm biracial. My child has three parents and 5 people in her family. She's very clear about that.
Sometimes we bump up against stuff that makes me scratch my head.
I hope this show creates the space for more love for all of us, as we see each other more.
In addition to hosting this show, I am a speaker, workshop facilitator, coach and consultant on issues of diversity and inclusion. You can find out more at www.annemarieshrouder.com
I hope you enjoy the show.
